Uganda II

Uganda is Africa's largest refugee hosting country, and one of the three largest refugee-hosting countries in the world, because of its proximity to neighbouring countries that have known political instability in the last decades, and its generally favourable refugee protection mechanisms.

For this project, MIEUX+ is partnerting with the Municipal Council of Nebbi, Yumbe Town Council and the NGO Urban Afrikanischer Traum to strengthen its capacities to mainstream migration into local urban planning in a coordinated and effective manner.

As part of the outcomes of this Action, the following will be produced by the MIEUX+ team and experts, in collaboration with the partner 1) comprehensive assessment report on the capacities of Yumbe and Nebbi municipalities and 2) assessment of internal systems and processes to provide requisite remedial measures and improve specific institutional capacities.
