In this interview, Ms. Tshering Wangmo, Deputy Chief Immigration Officer within the Visa Division of the Department of Immigration at the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs in Bhutan, discusses the advantages to the peer-to-peer approach and future training plans for her department.

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar presented the new Politique nationale d’engagement de la diaspora malagasy (National Malagasy diaspora engagement policy), prepared with support from MIEUX, in Antanarivo, Madagascar. The formulation of the policy, linked to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, has been the objective of a two-year Action that started in November 2017 and aims to promote, foster and facilitate the participation of Malagasys abroad into the country´s future development.

On 10 and 11 November 2019, the Migration EU eXpertise Initiative, funded by the European Union and implemented by ICMPD, will present the “Guiding Principles for Shelters Working with Victims of Human Trafficking” resulting from its latest Action in support to the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. These guiding principles will act as Standard Operating Procedures for two shelters in Amman providing Victims of Trafficking (VoT) with accommodation and first-line services.
