Description
Brazil is a stage to major international migratory flows. This new migration dynamic was reflected in the government´s concerns towards promoting migration legislation and policy reformulation, as well as institutional reform.

The National Immigration Council requested MIEUX’ support in strengthening the migration management capacities of the relevant institutions in Brazil.

A fact-finding mission was carried out and included meetings with several key institutional stakeholders. A draft assessment report was produced by the experts, including recommendations on institutional coordination and policy development.
