Legal migration

The MIgration EU eXpertise Initiative started operations in 2009 and ran until April 2024. During its fifteen-year lifecycle, new challenges and pressing responsibilities in terms of migration management and governance pushed partner countries across Asia, Africa, the European Neighbourhood and Latin America and the Caribbean to look for practical and adaptable solutions.

Romain Gustot, Project Officer and Regional Coordinator for the EU Neighbourhood, reflects on his recent mission to Minsk and the MIEUX Action supporting the government of Belarus on labour migration.

This week MIEUX is launching a new Action to support the General Directorate of Migration of Dominican Republic in conceiving, drafting and launching a national awareness-raising campaign about regular migration, targeting an estimated 250 000 individuals in need of renewal of documentation.
