Description
Ghana is a West African country, at the same time, of destination and of origin. Immigrants come especially from the Economic Community of West African States. On the other hand, the exodus of skilled workers from Ghana has an impact on the country's economy and social sectors. The Ghanaian Diaspora can contribute to the development of the country via, inter alia, remittances and human capital.

The Ghana II Action contributed to the design of the Diaspora Engagement Policy. Following this Action, the Ghanaian Office of the President requested support from MIEUX in 2019 to finalise the strategy to ensure its comprehensiveness, rigour and relevance which will lead to an effective implementation.

This Action finalised the Diaspora Engagement Policy, creation of an information brochure as well as reports on consultative meetings with Germany and the United Kingdom.
