Description
Moldova is primarily a migration country of origin and, to a much lesser extent, a country of destination or transit for migrants. Due to its politico-geographical positioning, Moldova is of particular interest at regional level and for the management of EU external borders.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), General Inspectorate of the Border Police (GIBP) requested support from MIEUX+ to ensure quality management of integrated border management (IBM) principles in the country and to support the Moldovan authorities in developing an inter-institutional monitoring and evaluation mechanism for the implementation of their IBM Strategy. Following the assessment of capacity and needs from the MIA and GIBP, the MIEUX+  team and experts will deliver a practical handbook and training course on the monitoring and evaluation in the application of IBM principles in Moldova.
